During the meeting attended by esteemed officials including Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the proposal for issuing long-term business licenses at competitive prices was deliberated. The objective is to bolster government revenues, ensure business continuity, and propel economic activities in the nation.

Silver and Golden Business Licenses:

The committee explored the idea of offering both 10-year golden and five-year silver business licenses. Modeled after the successful Golden Visa program initiated in 2019, these licenses seek to attract diverse talent and businesses, augmenting the UAE’s global competitiveness.

Flexible Economic Policies:

Abdullah bin Touq emphasized the UAE’s commitment to flexible and competitive economic policies, fostering an environment conducive to business establishment and growth. With over 788,000 companies operating in the country by the end of 2023, the UAE has witnessed a surge in foreign direct investments, bolstering its economic landscape.

Committee’s Role:

The Economic Integration Committee plays a pivotal role in enhancing the UAE’s business environment by developing robust legislative frameworks aligned with international standards. Through proactive policies and recommendations, the committee aims to accelerate business activities and attract global investors and talents.

Price Control Measures:

Additionally, the committee reviewed efforts to regulate building material prices and address unjustified increases. Following the Council of Ministers’ directive to postpone the implementation of Resolution No. (138) of 2023, the committee aims to ensure fair pricing and compliance within the construction sector.

The UAE’s initiative to introduce long-term business licenses reflects its commitment to fostering a vibrant and competitive business landscape. With a focus on attracting talent and facilitating economic growth, these licenses are poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future prosperity.
